The Member of the Year award was established in 2026 to recognize outstanding efforts of a NAWIC Buffalo Niagara member who has been actively involved in the chapter. We award the Member of the Year at our June Election and Scholarship Meeting.
Member of the year 2026
Tamilyne Williams of Rodriguez Construction Group was awarded our Member of the Year award in 2026. She consistently exemplifies the mission of NAWIC: championing women to impact the direction of the construction industry through education, community, and advocacy. Her dedication to our chapter is evident in both her leadership and her willingness to serve wherever needed. As a member of WIC Week, Events and Tap Takeover Committees, she has gone above and beyond to support our chapter and the community. Beyond our chapter events, she also demonstrated NAWIC’s commitment to service and community by organizing a separate donation effort through her company, resulting in several bags of goods being provided to FeedMore at our December 2025 meeting. Tamilyne also facilitated her company's involvement in the Tap Takeover event in May 2026. Her efforts on behalf of Rodriguez Construction Group helped to raise money for the NAWIC Scholarship Fund, that awards scholarships each year to deserving young women pursuing a career in construction.
